New town supervisors will appear at community forum

The League of Women Voters of the Hamptons will sponsor a community forum featuring East Hampton Town Supervisor Bill Wilkinson and Southampton Town Supervisor Anna Throne-Holst on Monday, March 8, at 7 p.m., at the Unitarian Universalist Meetinghouse on the Bridgehampton-Sag Harbor Turnpike in Bridgehampton.

The new town supervisors will discuss their priorities and plans for their respective administrations. Refreshments will precede the forum and a question-and-answer session will follow. For more information, call Anne Marshall, the group’s voter services chairwoman, at 537-3257.

Everyone who is fed up with EH airport increasing air traffic over Southampton harming our quality of life and property values should attend the meeting and demand of Ms. Throne-Holst to step up and make Southampton a no fly zone under threat of lawsuit against EH. No more passing the buck to the Feds who have already shown over many years they are unable and unwilling to solve our problem of EH becoming a regional airport at our expense. Unfortunately this meeting conflicts with the MTA hearing in Riverhead on the same night. Any chance of rescheduling?

And it's the night before the special election in Southampton. Not very good timing at all. Please consider re-scheduling.
