The Express News Group launched a redesigned 27east.com website on Thursday, November 14, after more than a year of development.

The new website is broken into three distinct sections: 27east, The Southampton Press, and The East Hampton Press, differentiated by separate tabs at the top of the page, to distinguish between the various content posted by the news organization on a daily basis.

The 27east page will highlight the current real estate market, the vibrant East End arts and living community, and will also be home to the South Fork’s most-read classified ad section, a robust community calendar and a local business guide.

The Southampton Press and The East Hampton Press pages deliver the latest government, education, health and community news featured in the three print editions of The Press.

For the first time, readers of the newspapers will also be able to read — and comment on — all of the newspapers’ editorial and opinion columns, as well as letters to the editor, on the website.

Also, one of the most popular features of the newspapers, coverage of the weekly police blotters and DWI arrests, also will be featured on the website. The arrest pages, however, will never show up in Google searches and will be removed from the website after six weeks, ensuring the long-term privacy of readers while still reporting the news of the arrests.

The updated website promises a mix of compelling content, vibrant images and videos, and will continue 27east.com’s long tradition of interactivity.

The Express News Group welcomes comments and feedback from our readers. Please tell us what you think of the redesigned site in the comment section under this article.
