UPDATE: Some East End Schools Will Be Closed Thursday

The Tuckahoe, Sag Harbor, Southampton, Bridgehampton, East Hampton, Springs, Wainscott, Amagansett, Montauk and Sagaponack school districts will remain closed on Thursday, January 29.

On Thursday, although the Tuckahoe school will be closed, Westampton Beach and Mercy High School will remain open. Tuckahoe will be providing one shuttle bus to Westhampton Beach High School at 6:55 a.m. and one to Mercy High School at 7:15 a.m. Both shuttles will be department from the Tuckahoe Elementary School on Magee Street. Regents examinations scheduled for Westhampton Beach and Mercy students tomorrow will be administered.

Anyone from Tuckahoe that has questions can call 283-3550 extension 303.

Students at East Hampton High School who are taking integrated algebra, geometry, algebra 2/trigonometry, bilingual int. algebra, earth science, chemistry, global history, bilingual global, U.S. history, or bilingual U.S. history regents exams will report to the school on Friday morning. All other high school students will have Friday off.

School districts on the East End are now starting to report school closures for Wednesday while residents try to dig out from under roughly 20 inches of snow.

The Southampton, Amagansett, Springs, East Hampton, Montauk, Bridgehampton, Sag Harbor, East Quogue, Tuckahoe, Hampton Bays, Sagaponack, Quogue and Wainscott Schools will all be closed on Wednesday.

The Eastport South Manor School District will also be closed on Wednesday. The Board of Education meeting has been rescheduled and will take place on February 4 at 7 p.m. The All-District Winter Concert has been postponed until February 2 at 7 p.m.

The Westhampton Free Library will be closed on Tuesday.

Southampton Hospital is closing all non-essential services as of 3 p.m. According to hospital personnel, all off-site facilities and Meeting House Lane medical practice offices will be closed on Tuesday and will reopen on Wednesday. Dialysis will remain open through Monday's shift, but will be closed on Tuesday. Emergency dialysis will be available in the hospital.

The Hampton Bays Public Library is closing today at 2 p.m. and will remain closed on Tuesday.

The Riverhead Department of Motor Vehicles will close at 3 p.m. on Monday.

Southampton Town Hall and all town facilities will close at 2 p.m. on Monday and will be closed all day on Tuesday. East Hampton Town Hall will close at 3 p.m. Monday and will also be closed Tuesday.

The Southampton Town Board meeting scheduled for 1 p.m. Tuesday has been rescheduled for 6 p.m. on February 3.

East Hampton Village Hall will close at 3 p.m. on Monday and be closed all day Tuesday.

Sagaponack students will be dismissed at 12:30 p.m. on Monday.

Both the Southampton and Tuckahoe school districts will be closed on Tuesday.

In East Hampton, high school students will be released at 1 p.m., while middle school students will be sent home at 1:15 p.m. At John Marshall Elementary, students will be dismissed at 1:45 p.m. There will be no school on Tuesday.

The Amagansett school will release students at 11:30 a.m. and the district is still determining whether it will hold school on Tuesday.

The Montauk School will dismiss students at 11:30 a.m., and the pre-k program will dismiss at 11 a.m.

The Springs School will also release students at 11:30 a.m., and Project MOST is canceled for Monday.

The Wainscott School will dismiss students at 11:45 a.m. and will also be closed on Tuesday.

The Tuckahoe Common School District will dismiss students at 1 p.m. The Board of Education meeting scheduled for Monday night has been canceled.

In Southampton, the high school will close at 12:30 p.m., SIS will send students home at 12:45 p.m., and the elementary school will send students home at 1:30 p.m.

Pierson Middle/High School students will be dismissed at noon, and the elementary school students will be dismissed at 12:45 p.m. Both schools will be closed on Tuesday. Monday's Board of Education meeting has been rescheduled for February 2.

Students at the Bridgehampton School will be released at 12:45 p.m. All after school activities, including ASPIRE, are canceled. The school will be closed Tuesday.

Quogue will dismiss students at 12:30 p.m.

All after school activities have been canceled for East Quogue.

The Hampton Bays School District also has canceled its afternoon regents exams at the high school and has announced that it will dismiss its students at the middle school at noon, after lunch, and, similarly, elementary school students will be dismissed at 12:45 p.m., after their lunch period. Afternoon pre-kindergarten in the district has been canceled and all three schools will be closed on Tuesday.

The Westhampton Beach School District will send its high school and middle school students home at noon and students at the elementary school will be released at 1 p.m. All after school activities in the district have been canceled. The Westhampton Free Library in Westhampton Beach will close at 2 p.m.

The Speonk-Remsenburg School District announced that it will release students at 1 p.m. on Monday and be closed on Tuesday.

All Monday and Tuesday classes have been canceled at the Stony Brook Southampton campus, according to an email sent out by the university Sunday night.

The Hampton Bays Civic Association and the Westhampton Beach Board of Education have both called off their meetings scheduled for Monday night because of the forecasted snow storm.

The Hampton Bays and Eastport South Manor school districts also have canceled all after school activities on Monday night.

The Hampton Bays Civic Association meeting, which was scheduled for 7 p.m. at the Southampton Town Community Center on Ponquogue Avenue, has been rescheduled for February 23. A make up date has not yet been set for the Westhampton Beach Board of Education meeting.

The Bridgehampton Citizens Advisory Committee meeting scheduled for Monday evening at 7 p.m. has been rescheduled as well. It will be on Monday, February 2, at 7 p.m. in the usual meeting place, the community room at the Bridgehampton National Bank on Montauk Highway in Bridgehampton.

In Sag Harbor, Monday evening's meeting of the Board of Historic Preservation and Architectural Review and Tuesday's meeting of the Planning Board have both been canceled.
