East Hampton Village To Hold Deer Forum

Aug 10, 2014 9:10 AM

The Village Preservation Society of East Hampton will hold a deer control forum on Thursday, August 14, starting at 5:30 p.m., at the Emergency Services Building in East Hampton Village.

Dr. Tony DeNicola of White Buffalo, a national nonprofit conservation group based in Connecticut and made up of biologists, veterinarians and educators who advise on conservation issues, will be discussing the deer-spaying program that the village is expected to launch in January.

Tom Rawinski of the U.S. Forest Service will also be reviewing his findings from a recent field trip to forested areas in East Hampton and the impact of deer on those regions.

For more information on the event, contact Kathleen Cunningham, executive director of the Village Preservation Society, at Kathy@villagepreservationsociety.org.
