League Of Women Voters To Host Town Board Candidate Debate At Westhampton Free Library

Jan 12, 2016 2:02 PM

The League of Women Voters of the Hamptons will host a debate featuring Democrat Julie Lofstad and Republican Richard Yastrzemski—the two candidates seeking the vacant seat on the Southampton Town Board in a special election slated for later this month—on Thursday, January 21, at 7 p.m. at the Westhampton Free Library in Westhampton Beach.

Both candidates will be allowed to make timed opening and closing statements. They will then be asked to answer questions submitted by a panel of local journalists, audience members and members of the League of Women Voters. Estelle Gellman of the League of Women Voters will moderate.

The library is located at 7 Library Avenue in Westhampton Beach and all are welcome.

The special election to fill the vacant seat will be held on Tuesday, January 26.
