HarborFrost Activities Rescheduled To Sunday; Frost Ball Rescheduled To February 22

According to the Sag Harbor Chamber of Commerce and the Sag Harbor Express, all HarborFrost activities have been moved to Sunday, February 10. Friday’s Frost Ball at Muse in the Harbor has also been rescheduled to Friday, February 22.

Sunday’s HarborFrost will begin at 10 a.m., with a pancake breakfast at the Columbia Street Firehouse, $10 for adults and $5 for children, a farmers market at Christ Episcopal Church, and a Long Pond Greenbelt Hike at Mashashimuet Park. Later, those who brave the frosty weather will enjoy live music, art walks, ice carving on Long Wharf and at the Civil War Monument, the Ice Breaker Laser Sailboat Regatta, free cartoon screenings at Bay Street Theatre, a treasure hunt starting at the Civil War Monument, fire dancing by the Fiery Sensations on Long Wharf, and a fireworks show by Grucci.

Local Coast Guard members also will be on hand throughout the day giving boat tours at Long Wharf and cold water rescue demonstrations at Windmill Beach. In addition, the Coast Guard will present a film screening and discussion at Bay Street Theatre from 10 a.m. to noon.

A Culinary Stroll will be held from 1 to 5:30 p.m., starting at Il Capuccino and winding its way through participating restaurants in town. Tickets for the stroll are $40 per person.

HarborFrost will hold its Frosty Plunge at Windmill Beach at 1:30 p.m., for those wishing to brave the frigid waters for a good cause. There is a minimum donation of $20 per person to participate.

The fireworks will begin at Long Wharf at 6:15 p.m.

Bay Street Theatre’s Mardi Gras Party, featuring live music by The HooDoo Loungers and Gene Casey and The Lone Sharks, has been rescheduled to Saturday, March 16. Tickets are still $25, $15 in advance. For more information call 725-9500 or visit www.baystreet.org.

The Quiz Show Fun’Raiser sponsored by the Sag Harbor Booster Foundation at the former Stella Maris School gym is still scheduled to take place on Saturday night at 7 p.m. Trivia buffs can compete for prizes and refreshments will be served, along with a cash bar and light dinner. The first-ever Frost Ball will now be held on Friday, February 22, from 6 to 10 p.m. at Muse in The Harbor. The ball features all-you-can-eat hors d’oeuvres, a DJ and an open bar. Tickets to the event are $75 or $65 for chamber members.
