Alfred J. Callahan of Southampton dies at 65

Alfred J. Callahan

Alfred J. Callahan of Southampton died on June 28 at Southampton Hospital. An attorney and a former chairman of the Southampton Village Planning Board, he was 65.

Visitation will be on Thursday, July 1, from 7 to 9 p.m., and 
Friday, July 2, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m., at O’Connell Funeral Home in Southampton. A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, July 3, at 10 a.m. at Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary Church in Southampton. Interment will follow at the church cemetery.

Deepest sympathies to Alfred’s family and friends. He was a truly nice person. Al was also a member of the Southampton Town Disability Advisory Committee and, I believe, the Town’s Architectural Review Board for many years. Rest in Peace, Alfred.

Alf had a great sense of humor. He will be missed by many people. My prayers to his son and family.
