Anne Warner Halsey, a longtime resident of Westhampton Beach, died April 25, 2018. She was 88.

Born on September 11, 1929, in East Hampton, she was the daughter of Elmer and Lucille (Harris) Warner. She moved to Westhampton Beach when she was 9, following the death of her mother and her father’s re-marriage. Later in life, she became a home health aide for local families, such as Jay Graham, Anne Colt and Lillian Goldstein. Survivors said that she derived much happiness from caring for others.

Mrs. Halsey was predeceased in 1998 by her husband of 52 years, Benjamin G. Halsey Sr.; her sister, Lucelle Parker; her brother, Elmer Warner Jr.; and her half-sister, Judith Haberland.

She is survived by her five children, Benjamin G Halsey Jr.(Robin), Gary B. Halsey (Mary), Thomas W. Halsey, Charlene Halsey Mascia (Allen M. Smith ) and LuAnn Halsey Burke; grandchildren, Heather Halsey (Colby), Melissa Halsey, Amanda Becchio, Benjamin G.
