Construction worker killed in job site accident in Southampton Village

Editor,

I am sure that if the photographer knew that he was in the way, he would not be there. However, when you are asked to move out of the way numerous times, by numerous firefighters and EMTs, one would think that he would have gotten the hint that his presence alone was a distraction to the rescue effort. Windmill Lane Substation May Be Eyed For New Ambulance Headquarters

I respectfully disagree. What you are describing is the current ambulance facility. There are members sleeping on blow up mattresses and on the floor during foul weather standbys. They have to bring food to last them for however long they stay during foul weather with nothing more than a microwave. Meetings become a fire hazard because of how packed they are into a tiny room. Not to mention that many of them spend a significant amount of time at the building waiting for calls in case you need them. I think the author should do a better job investigating and elaborating on what the building will actually be used for...." Apr 10, 12 10:20 PM
