Some Still Upset Over Three-Story Hotel At Gabreski Airport

This just goes to show that PDDs are a disaster. They can not be governed. The idea that you can change the rules of the ball game in the ninth inning does not apply to the Recklers. This action makes a mockery out of the PDD law.

Their claim that they could not attract a top hotel unless they had three stories is totally bogus. You can fit three stories beautifully into a 35-foot height limit. And if they spread out the footprint they could have a two-story hotel. Not exactly a tragedy.

Look ahead to a Hyatt like the monster in Riverhead next to the Aquarium.

This is what happens when politicians are put into the position of making design decisions for which they have no training, let alone sensitivity. " Sep 15, 11 11:34 AM

Throne-Holst And Team Release Campaign Video

ATH didn't look good at all. Her face lift is starting to fall.

Most importantly, the whole film said nothing as she claimed credit for all of the good budget work that Linda Kabot had put in place while still Supervisor. Now that's chutzpah! More significantly, we see a person who has yet to deal with her overinflated sense of her own omnipotence." Oct 26, 11 9:03 PM

Prices Skyrocket In East End Real Estate

Ms. Rasmussen is off the mark. She is only talking about South Fork real estate and doesn't even mention the North Fork, which is a different world altogether. Together the twin forks, make up East End real-estate - which is what the title of her piece implies." May 19, 14 10:20 AM

Southampton Town Will Post Armed Security Guard At Public Meetings

I guess Anna has never watched the proceedings of the British Parliament at work. Their raucous meetings make Southampton's Town Board sessions look like a walk in the park. We, as citizens, have the right to free speech, free expression even if the ideas and opinions are contrary to the policy or laws being pursued.

Shame on her! Southampton should not be made into a police state. What an infantile, petty tactic on the part of the Town Board.

Traffic Questions Continue To Confound As Board Closes Tuckahoe Center Hearing

See above: B-Diz(zy) continues with her "point if view" (sic). Which are the the points and views of the developers she is connected to and is performing for. Her problem is that she thinks a SEQRA hearing to be an opportunity to "rap" and rant off topic, and to prattle about representing youth and her generation. She is also based in Sag Harbor. She hopes I "get food poisoning". I just hope, that she goes back to Sag Harbor with her developer so that there is some chance of raising the level of meetings to civic discourse again -- an almost monumental recovery given the level it has sunk to under ATH and the current board. As for satire: the most searing may be the satire you embody in yourself without realizing it. " May 5, 15 12:42 PM

Voters Head To The Polls On Tuesday

Oh, and has everyone forgotten about Linda Kabot and Anna receiving "the call" from the police in the middle of the night ("we got her") to notify her about what would turn out to be a trumped up DWI. All Linda wanted to do was trim the budget and get some guys to take early retirement in the police department. Then ATH has the chutzpah to take credit for all of the good budget cutting that Linda did.

A political mercenary doesn't even begin describe what ATH is all about," Sep 24, 15 12:28 PM

UPDATE: Fence Installed At Historic Burying Ground Removed Over Weekend

This is a disgrace. These people had to have a survey to purchase their property. So they had to know what they were doing. More Philistines at the hedgerows (no pun). Since the cemetery goes back to 1648 it seems as if a good tar and feathering would be an appropriate penalty. " Oct 31, 15 8:12 PM

'The Hills' Developer Expects To Submit Tweaked Draft Environmental Study Next Month

Mark Hissey is the same guy who represented Michael Pascucci in the Sebonac Golf course PDD (formerly the Baybery Land estate). Unlike Bayberry Land, there's no pledge for an all organic golf course at The Hills. Another disaster in the making." Feb 24, 16 3:19 PM

Top Five Residents Who Thumbed Their Noses At The Law

The other thing in this story, a minor correction, was that the town disassembled the house to save structural members and artifacts. Consequently, the Hermers didn't even have to pay the dumpster fees for the demolition. Just adding a little more money in their pockets.... " Apr 5, 16 2:25 PM

Developer Files Pre-Application For 137-Unit Subdivision In East Quogue, Backup Plan To 'Hills'

Back to the ATH disaster movie for a minute - she did not follow PDDs to the letter of the law. She was all set to rob the restricted trust set aside from the Sebonac PDD for historic preservation so she could use that $500,000 to buy the Katie Press property adjacent to Mr. Morrow's ill-fated PDD proposal for Tuckahoe Center, paving the way for contiguous for more an even more ridiculous project. Nancy Graboski put an end to that maneuver and prevented her from absconding with the Trust's monies. She feigned ignorance and said the Town Attorney said it was ok. There wasn't one PDD that she didn't like. In fact, she formed a PDD study committee to tweak the PDD legislation. The PDDs are all spot zoning projects conceived for huge profits. Get real people! Once approved there is no enforcement by the Town on either quality controls or mitigation provisions of the PDD legislation." Nov 14, 17 10:04 AM

The Late Chico Hamilton’s Clearwater Beach Home Demolished

Former Southampton Village Ambulance Barn Architect Files Lawsuit Against The Village

What do you know about the point system that governs LEEDS? Materials have to conform to certain criteria in such a structure. It's an extremely complicated, technical process that's required for the LEEDs certification process. If the Village agreed to have it be a LEEDS building then shame on them. The other side of the argument is that the LEEDS structure will be so energy efficient and non-polluting and it will ultimately be better built and pay for itself long before its lifespan is over. You sound ill-informed and clearly you know nothing about construction drawings. The architect, in good faith. offered to redesign the whole thing to meet the village budget at no extra cost. The village could have had a nice building and now they'll settle for the look of a garbage facility. Calling it a barn is a joke." Dec 12, 17 11:49 AM

Eastport Community, Lawmakers Vow To FIght 'Monster' Poles Until They Are Removed

Hey, in Southold PSEG came through the historic village like Sherman's army and literally, without notice, cut trees in half above the trunks. They did this to leave space for electrical lines and disregarded the fact that some species of trees have deep root systems with branches that aren't susceptible to high winds. This mutilation, particularly of the side streets, was outrageous. One man threw the tree crew off his property and called the police and the press. An authority at PSEG's maintenance division said that LIPA had neglected their pruning program for so many years that they had to do this extreme pruning. What a disaster." Jul 3, 18 4:13 PM
