Hampton Bays Library Board Will Seek Taxpayer Approval Of $9.9 Million Renovation Plan In March

The library serves the role of a very needed community service. It is not a "babysitting service." It is a place for mothers of young children to meet and form their support networks. It is a place for children to grow a love of learning, of books, of friendship, of art. Not everyone has the means to send their child to nursery school, the library is a place where child grow, learn, and build friendships. It is also a place where mothers and fathers can get support and advice. People say the library is taking from local businesses, even though I think that's insane, but tell me what place in Hampton Bays provides these services currently. The teen room gives kids that could be getting in trouble something to do with themselves after school. By not supporting your library, you are not supporting the future of this town. Some School Districts See Low New Student Enrollment Numbers

The kindergarten classes at Hampton Bays, which they're currently only 6, are extremely small. My son had a class of 17 last year. OLH is a wonderful school, but is much more overcrowded. I think you are misinformed here.

Editing to say that the catholic school isn't overcrowded per se, but has a larger class size with less resources.
