Developers present new plans for Tuckahoe hamlet center

If the development MUST GO, I like the idea of using local contractors and local labor. To say the cost will increase, try getting some of the stimulus money from Washington, D.C., or via the Jobs Bill. After all, this is supposed to be done!!!!" Mar 25, 10 11:51 AM

Southrifty Drug will accept old medications as part of national program

Bob Grisnik is taking part in a National Campaign to secure unused medications. The Long Island Pharmacists Society is encouraging many of its member Pharmacies to participate also. The safety of disposing unused medication is the #1 goal. Keeping drug availability out of the hands of our youth is primary, along with the enviromental protection which is accomplished by their proper disposal. Thanks Bob for this effort. Officials want to use Southampton Town's Community Preservation Fund to save Stony Brook Southampton

Do you really want our area (which derives income from tourists) which is pristine to become like so many other towns with their strip malls?" Apr 25, 10 3:28 PM

I've read all the comments, don't have a solution, just some comments on the ideas. The Community College Idea seems viable. Move the Hospital and get the perks from housing staff etc. seems OK. Move Town Hall, ditto. My ?, why didn't NYS take a closer look before putting in the $78 mil at the viability of the College continuing ?" Apr 25, 10 3:40 PM

The Vatican has more money than GOD. Maybe GOD can intercede and get the money to keep Catholic Schools Alive. I faithfully hope so.
