What is so hard to understand about 5 (five) Acre Residential Zoning? That is what these "Friends"of East Quogue bought. No PDD no PRD just 5 acre residential zoning in a fragile Pine Barren area which is surrounded by No Development areas. A private 18 hole golf resort is not a swimming pool or a tennis court or a Playhouse, whatever that is, and Rennert was not trying to get around any zoning. Planning Board Pushes Off Decision On Whether Additional Environmental Study Is Needed For East Quogue Golf Course Resort

if Discovery felt it necessary to spend years and $$$ to shoehorn their ill conceived development through; even they must have thought the zoning meant no golf. Give them 5 acre Residential, and let them build as many houses on 5 acre lots as the want. As of right!!! that's what they bought. They are not our friends, how are the law suits coming? If some Board person want to play with the zoning definitions do that the proper way, not because someone says it does't specificallly say GOLF COURSES.
