Tuckahoe School Board considers superintendent's contract

Linda Rozzi has always acted in the best interests of the school and the community while carefully considering how those interests are intertwined. I hope the board will make their decision based on the best interests of the school and community and not let their personal opinions or beliefs overshadow those of those people they were voted to represent. Tuckahoe superintendent resigns amid furor

Instead of presenting evidence against Linda most of those supporting the board have chosen to do noting more than call names and insult others. Many of Linda's supporters have given plenty of factual evidence as to why they think Linda should stay and Riccardi and Grindle should go and the response is always the same - name calling and childish attacks made under the cover of an anonymous blog posting.

Those of us who support Linda are only concerned with having our kids in a school run by professional, caring individuals not petty thugs with personal vendettas. Sharon Grindle sat at that board meeting and called Linda a "liar". She called Bob Grisnik a "liar". She called parents and teachers “liars”. She spoke over others and rolled her eyes and colluded with Riccardi behind a piece of paper. Sue Riccardi, on the one occasion she did speak, shared with the those assembled the name of a parent who wanted Linda fired – the parent, by the way, was not present. Does that sound like the behavior of rational, caring adulst? These are facts witnessed by everyone present Monday night. First hand facts - not hearsay Linda Rozzi, on the other hand, sat there and took it and behaved like the consummate professional she is.

Those of you who want Ms. Rozzi to go can only talk about "things we don't know". Nonsense. You say that the board "can't reveal their reasons because of the law". Again, nonsense. The Freedom of Information act says otherwise. You might remember the last time the board tried to get rid of Linda and their lies and agenda were revealed when her FOIA'd review showed that there was absolutely nothing that would merit her dismissal. Nothing. The board knew this and had to back down. That is fact. It actually happened. And now you say, “Trust Susan and Sharon. They only care about our children.” We think otherwise and we are determined to do what is best for our school and our children. So call us all the names you like, we have right on our side." East Hampton residents to gather for public option health care vigil tonight

I will be there and I commend all those who plan on attending despite the other side's attempts to shout them down. As evidenced by the first two postings here, the right is only interested in muddying the waters. They are upset that a country once ruled by white males is changing before their eyes. They're are afraid of a future that does not care what they think. Health care is a right and well worth fighting for." Sep 3, 09 10:19 AM

Tuckahoe School Board Sets Timeline For Pending Merger With Southampton

Dr Crough turned to Mr. Grisnik and asked him if his was the only vote and a no vote would mean the end of merger talks would he still have voted no? Mr. Grisnik responded he would still vote no because he puts children first. Dr. Crough also told the Westhampton students that were present that people have to make sacrifices, and the sacrifices they made would look more impressive on college applications. Why must the children sacrifice for the " Aug 14, 13 11:55 AM

the financial decisions of the school and board. When it was actually less expensive to send children to Westhampton , for the many years before the exclusive, it was too great a sacrifice to deny the choice of Southampton or to split families who may already have siblings attending. So, even though that would have been a more financially sound decision it was not worth the 'sacifice' for those children. I don't think any children should be asked to sacrifice until every other option has been exhausted." Aug 14, 13 12:19 PM
