Town discusses remedies to Red Creek Road

Placing cautionary speed signs on the roadway is NOT the answer. Most drivers disregard these signs and travel 15 - 20 mph faster than the posted speed limit anyway. A four way stop at Bettina and Red creek wouldn't be a bad idea because of the blind curve that is there, and anyone who has ever tried to make a left onto Red Creek Rd off of West Landing knows how treacherous it is. Straightening the section of roadway into town owned property is the only logical solution. And how about we try and PAVE Red Creek Rd sometime in the near future Mr. Masterson, What is the town waiting for with regard to this situation?" Aug 20, 09 8:15 AM

Report says anti-immigrant atmosphere in Suffolk County fuels violence

When the Italians first came to this great country decades ago, they were viewed much the same as the Latinos are today. The one indisputable difference is that the Italians came here for a better life for themselves, they LEARNED the language and they became Americans by paying taxes and defending this country. They EARNED their right to this life. The Latinos on the other hand send all their money back to the country of origin to support it, they suck this system dry by having the government susidize their health care, schooling, food stamps, housing etc. If you want to stay and be an American it's time to stop driving around in your uninsured, and unregistered cars with your South and Central American flags dangling from the rear view mirrors and begin to show support and pledge your loyalty to THIS country by Learning the Language, becoming citizens, paying your taxes, and not eating from the giant bird feeder this Government has become. Trespassing charges dropped against East Quogue woman arrested near ANG base; wrongful arrest lawsuits filed

Reading all the posts above. It has become quite clear that the central issue here is the citizens right to bear arms. She bore and kept those arms within the confines of the law. There is no doubt that her rights where violated when there is a clear understanding of the law. These are the laws that were put into effect by the people we as U.S. citizens chose to vote into office. Whatever her intentions may have been on that day, one thing is indisputable, She did nothing illegal. Our so called open society is fast closing in around us to the point of asphyxiation. We need to remain aware of our rights and always live within the scope of the law. This is how a truly civilized society conducts itself. Remember this one thing..."Those who beat their swords into plows, become the slaves of those who do not"" Nov 30, 09 11:05 AM

As a father of three young daughters, It is quite evident that rehabilitating these animals does not work. The sick minded temptation will always be there in the back of their minds. There is no other solution but to EXTERMINATE these sick bastards and make society a little safer. I'm sure every father will agree with me that if anyone does their child harm, the only response they will feel is to commit murder regardless of right or wrong.
Castration should just be the begining!
