Board Fires Westhampton Beach Boys' Varsity Soccer Coach

The Administrators in the WHB School District used poor judgement, and perhaps broke the law,by demanding students cell phones. Students trust that adults(teachers, principals, coaches, etc) are looking out for their best interests and will protect their constitutional rights. These administrators did nothing of the sort. It is quite possible that there are grounds for a lawsuit here. " Oct 12, 14 10:26 AM

Investigation Sought Over East Hampton Deer Sterilizations

People on both sides of this issue feel strongly and have the right to express their opinion. As a practicing Social Worker on the East End I encounter people everyday who have no access to adequate healthcare, food, clothing, and shelter. Many are your neighbors, friends, and family. Wouldn't the money being spent on surgically sterilizing deer be more wisely spent on those in need? Before anyone says it,the majority of those seeking assistance are LEGAL,citizens born in the United States of America.Keep this in mind during this holiday season, and everyday." Dec 17, 15 8:02 AM

Appellate Division Denies Town Justice Barbara Wilson's Appeal In 2015 Lawsuit Filed By Neighbor

This is a very complicated case, and there are always two sides to every story. However, the comments and accusations made by Justice Barbara Wilson, in public, are inflammatory, and inexcusable. A person who can not control herself should not be deciding the fate of others in a court of law. It is time for her to resign and restore dignity and respect to our local court system." State Court Grants East Hampton A Temporary Stay On Duryea's Lobster Deck Settlement

If not for the due diligence of Councilman Jeff Bragman, the crooked back room dealings of Michael Sendlenski and numerous others would not have been exposed. Circumventing the proper zoning and planning procedures is unacceptable and ILLEGAL. Thank you to all who helped expose this disgraceful back room agreement. " Apr 12, 19 4:53 PM

CVS Eyes Hampton Bays Movie Theater Location

Interesting commentary regarding Regal Movie Theater closing. The Town of Southampton has no control over who the landlord chooses to rent the space to. A retail use is allowed, and CVS is a retail business. It is not a conspiracy or a backroom deal. Perhaps Regal Theatre's lease is up and they want out. It is unfortunate, but there is nothing shady about the proposal. Perhaps it is time for Hampton Bays to become an Incorporated Village." May 31, 19 10:22 AM

Southampton Town Planning Board Takes Early Look At Proposal For CVS In Hampton Bays Movie Theater Space

A Welcome Center/Tourist Center run by who? Why does Hampton Bays or ANY place on the East End need anymore tourists. This is a Real Estate transaction between the landlord and any potential tenant. It’s called free enterprise and whether we like it or not, private property rights are still protected under the law." May 31, 19 10:49 AM

East Hampton has no such law, as it is illegal. East Hampton had three Lauren stores,at one point, and Tiffany’s which has since closed. EH currently has TWO CVS stores!" May 31, 19 11:34 AM
