'The Hills' Developer Files $100 Million Lawsuit Against Southampton Town For Rejecting PDD

Your local officials who voted the PDD down did you no favors. That original plan was for a SEASONAL resort with no impact on the schools. Despite that the developer had many Community Benefits built in to the plan including money for the school district. The modern sewage treatment plant would have been much better for the environment than 120 individual cesspools draining into the aquifer. The plan for the golf course to use the water from the nearby farms would have further filtered out the fertilizers and pesticides from the runoff into the aquifer. Now they may get their golf course and have to give the community nothing in return. When your school taxes go up, you can thank Bouvier and Lofstad" Apr 19, 18 11:34 AM

Families 'Completely Shaken Up' After ICE Raid Announcement

I think we can all agree that those who are already here, who have had their due process and have been ordered to be deported have no right to complain when they are in fact deported. Don't get mad at Trump for following the law. Congress makes the laws and liberal Democrats refuse to change the laws because the ultimate goal is to earn their votes when by giving them amnesty. Therefore, they do want open borders because that means more votes." Jun 27, 19 11:56 AM

Note to Gov. Cuomo- Self deportation is always an option if you don't like the way this president enforces the law against ILLEGAL immigrants (you left that important adjective out twice in your statement)

“The Trump administration’s impending blitz of ICE raids across the country, including here in New York, is shameful and wholly unacceptable, and we will fight back at every turn to protect our immigrant families,” Governor Andrew M. Cuomo said in a prepared statement. “As I’ve said before, if there is a move to deport immigrants, then I say start with me—a son of immigrants.”" Jun 27, 19 12:01 PM

Real Estate Transfer Tax Bill To Support Affordable Housing Passes State Legislature

Affordable Housing Complexes are not Low Income Housing Projects. In order to rent an Affordable apartment, you must earn at least 80% of the median income. These are not "poverty stricken families" these are the working class people who serve your food and unclog your toilet. They are the recently retired and newly graduated. They are not the enemy.

That said, ENOUGH with all the new taxes already, you're bleeding us dry!!" Jun 27, 19 1:20 PM

Southampton Village Mayor Says Courtyard Owner Deliberately Destroyed Property

So the Village is going to force a property owner to fix up his privately owned courtyard so it can be open to the public. Okay, when a member of the public trips, falls and cuts their head and then sues (the property owner I assume) for a Million Dollars for "emotional damages" will the Village be paying that settlement?"
