Hampton Bays Teens Sad To Say Goodbye To Movie Theater

I feel it’s ridiculous to add another pharmacy to this town when there is already three. I’ve lived here since I was young I’m 29 now I moved out here when I hit the 3rd or 4th grade. When I was growing up as a teen or preteen for that matter our parents let us walk to the theater as long as we were in groups. We’d do things around the house just to earn the money for the movies. Me and my friends that is. It’s a shame to see it go for now that I have a daughter of my own whom is five and I’m bringing her there to see movies as I did as a kid it will be a shame she will hardly get that experience as often due to transportation. The movies is five minutes from my house I have no car so we are able to walk, no we’d have to take a bus or pay close to 20$ for a taxi to Southampton. The only other theaters are up island now. Just sucks to see a child hood memory just disappear and no longer be around anymore. Now we are stuck only doing summer things cause all we have are beaches and parks and places to eat for that matter. I hope the build something for the kids to do to replace the lose of the theater."
