SOUTHAMPTON ARTS CENTER SEEKS a part-time, year-round production assistant to help with program and event needs. Must be available Thursday and Friday evenings (and Mondays in the summer) and Saturdays and Sundays for both daytime and evening programs, events, and facility rentals. Applicants should have both technical aptitude and physical strength. Knowledge of basic videotaping and editing a plus. Responsibilities include but are not limited to technical support, including occasional running of film screenings and A/V; Setting up and breaking down programs, including moving of heavy tables and chairs; Cleanup before and after programs, events, and facility rentals, including general facilities upkeep; Patching and painting gallery walls for each exhibition (5-6 per year); Exterior banner installation and distribution of marketing materials; Work with Director of Programs on logistics.
